Manage AI model access and disclosure badges

AI content marking lets your team burn a visible badge into a video when they export it, showing that AI was involved in making it. Turning it on once means the option is there for everyone, every time they export, so nobody has to remember to add it manually.

Turn on AI content marking

In the left sidebar, click the settings icon at the bottom, just above your profile picture, then open the AI tab and switch on AI content marking.

How it works when exporting

Once the setting is on, the badge becomes an option in the export dialog rather than something forced on every video.

Solid usually knows when a project contains AI-generated media, and pre-selects the badge for those exports. Whoever is exporting can still switch it on or off for that particular video, so the final call stays with them.

Why it's there

The EU AI Act introduces transparency expectations around content that's been generated or altered using AI. Without a setting like this, adding that disclosure would mean taking your finished video into another tool and burning the badge in there. Here it's a toggle, and the video leaves Solid ready to publish.

Marking your videos correctly stays your responsibility though, so it's worth double checking each export rather than assuming it's handled. Our blog post on AI content marking and the EU AI Act goes through what needs marking and what doesn't.

Choose which AI models your team can use

The AI tab is also where you decide which image generation models and which video generation models your members can use in Video Studio.
