Change a project's status
A status tells everyone where a video stands without anyone having to open it and work it out. When projects are moving between you, your team, and people at another company, it's the difference between asking whether something is finished and simply seeing it.
The statuses
- Needs work
- Feedback required
- Voice Approved
- Video Approved
A project you've just created sits in Draft until you set one of these.
Change it from your projects list
Open a folder in Projects and every video shows its current status just below its name, next to whoever created it. Click the status and pick a new one.
Change it from inside the editor
With a project open, the status sits in the top bar right next to the project name. It's there in Script View, Video View and the Review View alike, so you can update it wherever you happen to be working rather than going back to your projects list.
Worth knowing before you set one: once a project moves out of Draft, it can't go back. Every other status can be changed as often as you like.
With a video approved, next up is configuring your export settings.
