Send a review request
Getting eyes on a video shouldn't mean exporting it and emailing a file around. A review request sends someone straight to the live project, where they can watch it and comment on exact moments. It works for teammates and for people outside your workspace who don't use Solid at all.
Anyone you invite from outside your workspace can watch and comment, and nothing more. They can never edit your project. Teammates inside your workspace already have access to it, so they can edit as well as comment.
Send the request
- Open your project and click the share icon in the top bar, just to the right of the Script, Video and Review tabs. Hovering over it shows Request review.
- In the Reviewer field, pick a teammate from the list, or type an email address to invite someone outside your workspace.
- Click Request.
If you change your mind, click Cancel or the X in the top right corner.
Review links
Invite someone from outside your workspace and a review link is created for them, listed under Review links in the same window. Until you've invited an outside reviewer, that section simply tells you there aren't any yet.
What happens next
Your reviewer gets an email that takes them straight to the project. They watch it, click anywhere on the video to pin a comment to that exact moment, and it appears in your timeline as a blue dot or a user icon, depending on which project view you're in.
Leave comments for a team member covers that side of it, and is worth sending to anyone reviewing for the first time.
Once the feedback is in, change your project's status so the rest of your team knows where it stands.
