Asset Folders, Audio Detaching & Smarter Library Filters
This update introduces nested asset folders for your media on your Assets page, flexible audio detaching controls, and a faster way to filter a large library.
Key Points
- Asset Library Folders: Organize files with nested folders, drag and drop support, and unified search views.
- Audio Detaching: Lift audio directly off video clips onto independent tracks for maximum control and adjustability.
- Smarter Library Filters: Narrow a large library down in fewer clicks, with filters that apply instantly and lists you can search.
Asset Library Folders
Managing large video libraries is now much easier with complete folder organization.
- Nested Folders: Create custom folder structures with drag and drop, breadcrumbs, and trash restoration.
- Unified Library View: Uploads, scenes, audio, and images now live in one standardized interface.
- Smarter Asset Search: Browse folders instantly while preserving instant tag and asset filtering.

Audio Detaching & Timeline Controls
We overhauled timeline audio controls to give you complete flexibility over your soundtrack.
- Detach Video Audio: Lift a video clip's audio straight to a separate track while automatically silencing the original video for precise audio adjustments.
- Streamlined Audio Clips: Audio imports now reference original files directly, giving you cleaner timeline clip handling.

Smarter Library Filters
Finding the right file in a large library takes fewer clicks and a lot less waiting.
- Filters Apply as You Pick Them: Your results update the moment you choose a filter. Each choice shows up as a label you can remove on its own, or clear all at once.
- One Choice per Category: Picking a different option in the same category replaces your last one, so your filters never contradict each other.
- Search Instead of Scroll: Filter categories and tag lists open up right where you are and come with a search box, so you can type to find what you need in a long list.
- Faster on Big Tags: Opening a tag that holds thousands of files now loads only what is on your screen, so results appear straight away.

More Good Stuff
- Smarter Subject Cropping: Auto-cropping now uses smoothed visual focus tracking to center subjects accurately.
- Faster Scene Loading: Auto-extracted video scenes are now viewable and usable instantly while final processing finishes.
- Unified Viewer Permissions: Reviewers on your team can now approve finished videos without needing full editor rights.
- Seedance 2.5 in Video Studio: Generate B-roll at any length from 4 to 30 seconds and pay by the second. The default generation model moves to Veo 3.1 Fast.
- Sharper Export Warnings: The black frame check now measures everything covering the canvas at once, so split screens are read correctly and full-bleed end cards stop being flagged.
- Help Center Search: Search articles by title and body at solidlabs.com/learn, and shared links now preview the article itself rather than the homepage.
- Subfolder Browsing: The media picker browses subfolders and subtags instead of showing only the top level.
- Tags at Upload: A video uploaded through the project dropdown can carry its tags and auto-tag settings from the start.
Fixes & Under the Hood
- Fixed export color accuracy so saturated brand colors render exactly as designed instead of shifting during playback.
- Rebuilt our canvas sync and storage engine to ensure simultaneous edits update reliably without lost changes.
- Fixed a bug where switching between takes could delete a transition or displace clips on a take nobody was viewing.
- Fixed the scene quick preview so the scrub bar covers only the selected scene instead of the entire source video.
- Fixed A-roll matching on a scene selection so it searches only the words spoken inside that scene.
- Fixed generated voiceover audio playing past the end of its segment after a full assembly.
- Upgraded media uploads to automatically detect faces during ingestion for future person-based search features.
- Cleaned up codebase linting and stabilized background test runners for faster release deployments.
