Why it matters
Most teams already plan campaigns in an AI assistant: they paste performance data into Claude, draft angles in ChatGPT or keep briefs in Langdock. Without a connector, every look into the footage library and every brand rule still means switching tools. The Solid MCP connector brings your workspace into that chat. Your assistant can find scenes in the Smart Library, set up projects and tags, and read or update the brand guidelines in the Brand Hub, so the plan you make in chat and the work in Solid stay in sync. Because each connection reaches only one workspace, agencies can connect client by client without mixing data. Nothing about it is required to use Solid: it is for teams who already lean on an AI assistant every day.
It works with the rest of the Solid Creative Engine: the Smart Library, the Brand Hub, the Solid Agent and Review and Export.
Setup
There is nothing to set up inside Solid. Add Solid as a custom connector in your assistant with one address, sign in, and approve the workspace you want connected.
https://mcp.solidlabs.com/mcpOn a Team or Enterprise plan, an organization owner adds the connector once under Organization settings > Connectors; everyone then connects their own account.
ChatGPT shows a risk warning because this is a manual connector that OpenAI has not reviewed itself.

Custom Headers and List Server Features are optional; neither is needed to connect.
Two ways in
Chat in Solid and the MCP connector reach the same workspace. The only difference is where you type: inside Solid, or in the assistant you already use.
| Chat in Solid | MCP connector | |
|---|---|---|
| Where you work | In Solid, next to your projects and the editor | In Claude, ChatGPT, Grok or Langdock |
| Search footage and scenes | Yes | Yes |
| Create projects, folders and tags | Yes | Yes |
| Read and update brand guidelines | Yes | Yes |
| Setup | Built in | One custom connector, about two minutes |
| Pick it when | You are already working in Solid | You already plan in your assistant and want Solid in the same chat |
