What the zones cover
Why the Instagram Stories safe zone matters
Meta publishes one safe zone for Reels and Stories: keep at least 14% at the top, 35% at the bottom and 6% on each side free of text, logos and other key elements. Meta’s Facebook Stories video page still shows an older 14% and 20%; those values contradict the resolution the same page recommends, and the image variant of the placement already carries 14, 35 and 6.
The top holds the progress bar, the profile and the sponsored label; the bottom holds the call to action and the reply bar.
Keep hooks, product shots, prices and logos inside the safe area. In Solid, safe-zone overlays for every platform are built into the Video Editor, so every version is checked before export.
