What the zones cover
Why the TikTok safe zone matters
Measured from TikTok’s own In-Feed Standard template by reading its alpha channel: 12.5% at the top, 34.375% at the bottom and 11.111% on each side, or 240, 660 and 120 pixels on a 1080 × 1920 frame. TikTok replaced this template in April 2025; the widely republished 254, 707, 122 and 242 pixel figures are the retired version.
The top holds the Following and For You tabs; the right side holds the profile, like, comment, share and sound buttons; the bottom holds the account name, caption, sound and the ad call to action.
Keep hooks, product shots, prices and logos inside the safe area. In Solid, safe-zone overlays for every platform are built into the Video Editor, so every version is checked before export.
