What the zones cover
Why the YouTube Shorts safe zone matters
Google asks to keep the top 10%, the bottom 25% and the right-hand 10% of a Shorts ad free of critical elements, and specifies no left margin. This zone is safe only if the ad runs on Shorts alone: anything serving across YouTube needs the stricter all-placements zone (15% top, 35% bottom, 4.4% left, 17.8% right).
The right side holds like, dislike, comment, share and remix; the bottom holds the title, channel name, subscribe button and sound.
Keep hooks, product shots, prices and logos inside the safe area. In Solid, safe-zone overlays for every platform are built into the Video Editor, so every version is checked before export.
